Dry Needling

Dry needling, another unique technique for relieving muscle tension at ReHappy Clinic, is a Western acupuncture technique, different from the Chinese acupuncture that many people are familiar with.

Western Acupuncture (Dry Needling)

Dry needling is a technique that involves inserting needles into muscles or soft tissue at points called "trigger points," or points where muscles are tense, to help relieve chronic muscle pain. It's similar to Chinese acupuncture, but primarily utilizes principles of anatomy, physiology, and scientific evidence from Western medicine.

How it works: A small needle (similar to acupuncture needles) is used to penetrate trigger points.

- Stimulates blood circulation in that area.

- Helps relax tense muscles.

- Reduces inflammation and promotes muscle recovery.

Suitable for : Individuals experiencing chronic muscle pain, such as neck pain, shoulder pain, and back pain.

- Individuals with muscle inflammation due to overuse injury.

- Patients with myofascial pain syndrome.

- Athletes or individuals who experience localized tension or stiffness after exercise.

- Individuals experiencing pain from clearly defined trigger points.

Strictly prohibited:

- Individuals with bleeding disorders or those using anticoagulants without proper control.

- Infection at the site where acupuncture will be performed.

- Patients with severe immunodeficiency.

- The area that is cancerous.

Caution:

- Pregnant women (especially in the first trimester or in the abdominal/lower back area)

- Patients who are afraid of needles or have a history of fainting from needle injections.

- Procedures on vital organs, such as the chest, should only be performed by a qualified professional.

Needles, by their very nature, might hurt a little.
